Most Wild West pools take 14–20 weeks from excavation to your first swim. Austin permitting typically runs 4–8 weeks depending on the municipality. Because Dan actively follows up on permits rather than waiting passively, we consistently move faster than the industry average.

Why do you only build 12 pools a year?

Because that's how many Dan can personally oversee while being hands-on at each job site throughout the entire build. This isn't a marketing decision — it's a quality decision. The moment we take on more projects than Dan can physically attend, the thing that makes us different disappears. We'd rather turn away business than compromise what we've built.

What does "hands-on owner involvement" actually mean?

It means Dan Huber — the owner who signed your contract — is physically present on your property during active construction phases. He inspects work as it's completed, catches issues before they become problems, and ensures every trade performs to the standard your investment deserves. You're not getting a project manager who's juggling 40 jobs. You're getting the owner.

What is included in the free design consultation?

It starts with an on-site visit — Dan walks your yard, takes in the space, and listens to how you live and entertain. From there, most design reviews and refinement meetings happen over Zoom, which most homeowners find far more convenient. We'll develop a custom 2D plan and photorealistic 3D rendering of your pool in your actual yard, all at no charge. In-person meetings are always available if you prefer. No pressure, no obligation.

Over 5 years building in Central Texas, Wild West has tackled some of the most complex terrain in the region — hillside builds, narrow access lots, rocky caliche soil, drainage challenges, and HOA-governed communities. Difficult lots are where an experienced owner-operator outperforms a volume builder every time.
